Andrew Morley is our Musical Director. He studied conducting and orchestration with Denis McCaldin at Lancaster University, then won the Hertford Choral Scholarship to study with Peter Stark at Trinity College of Music, London. He graduated with distinction, winning the Ricordi Conducting Prize. In 2004 Andrew was awarded first prize at the Allianz-Cornhill Musical Insurance Conducting Competition. ​Paul Driver of The Sunday Times wrote of one of his performances: ‘What we heard was a marvel…the most convincing, gripping, sheerly beautiful realisation of Gruppen that I’ve heard.’

Noah Max is our Associate Conductor. He is the Artistic Director of the Echo Ensemble and a guest conductor for Endymion Ensemble and The London Chorus. He was Young Associate Conductor for Sir Matthew Bourne's The Red Shoes at Sadler's Wells in 2019-20 and a Britten-Pears Young Artist in 2018. Described by John Wilson as ‘one of nature’s artists’, he has conducted his own music in the RAH’s Elgar Room and the Musikverein Vienna.

Georgina Benton is the Band General Manager, looking after bookings, concert administration and rehearsal scheduling. As a professional Conference Director and a Trustee for two organisations she is perfectly placed to keep us organised! Georgina works closely with our Musical Directors on concert programming, venues and repertoire. She also plays alto saxophone with the band.
